It was so rewarding for fifth graders to view each others' reading projects. They worked so hard on these! While they were viewing projects, they were surprised by their classmate, Ariana, when she handed out custom 3D prints to each classmate. So sweet, Ari! 🧑🏼‍🎄📚

Third grade engineers tried to build a Gingerbread (graham cracker) House that could stand on its own! Team 1 titled their house Mr. Grinch's Gummi Bear House, Team 2, Blizzard Wonderland, Team 3 Disaster, and Team 4, Candy Cabin. As you can tell by each team's Theme title, not all of their houses remained standing, but they had a great time working as a team! Eating their creation was the best part of the lesson!

Grandparents Day will begin tomorrow at 12:30. The north parking lot, where the buses are now parking through the day, will be empty for grandparents to park and enter through the elementary doors. If that parking lot fills, the Ranger entrance and front doors will also be open for grandparents. We are looking forward to a fun and festive afternoon!

3B had a busy day! We started our day with a scavenger hunt around the school planned by Mr. Miley. They solved riddles and found clues that spelled hot chocolate ☕️ We worked in teams to build gingerbread houses! These third graders also earned a cookie and milk party for excellent behavior in the cafeteria. Thanks Mrs. Shroyer 🍪

📸 Photosynthesis Relay Race: Hands-On Science! 🏃‍♀️🧪 My students brought the curriculum to life today with an energetic Photosynthesis Relay Race! Light-Dependent Race: Teams raced to break apart water into hydrogen and oxygen and transfer ATP and NADPH (modeled by liquid and cards), simulating the energy transfer from the light reactions. Calvin Cycle Construction: Students then used color-coded pieces (Carbon, Oxygen, etc.) to physically build glucose, demonstrating how carbon dioxide is "fixed" into sugar. It was a fantastic, movement-based way to master the concepts of energy flow and molecular assembly in plant biology! #ScienceEducation #BiologyClass #Photosynthesis #HandsOnLearning #RelayRace
